Independent Laboratory Services Inc. (ILS) has
been performing fire debris analyses for its valued clients around the
southeastern United States since 1987.
ILS has always attempted to give a valuable service at a competitive price. In
an effort to provide even better service over a wider area of expertise and
with superior instrumentation and technical knowledge, Independent Laboratory
Services is pleased to announce a partnership with Data Resources Inc. (DR).
DR, headquartered in Columbia, SC with a second office in Greenville, SC offers a wide array of analytical services with a focus on environmental work
for 20 years.
Dr. Bruce Watt of DR received his PhD in
Analytical Chemistry from the University of South
Carolina in 1991. During and since his doctoral education, Dr. Watt has
utilized gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) for chemical marker
identifications as well as chromatographic pattern recognitions. Dr.
Watt is considered an expert witness by the state of South Carolina in
chemical analysis by GC/MS. As the GC/MS is the primary analytical tool
used in pattern recognition in fire debris analyses, Dr. Watt's expertise is
well suited for this role.
Although this
partnership was only announced at the beginning of 2006, Dr. Watt has been working with ILS in a limited capacity on fire debris analyses for
the last 5 years.
After reviewing the joint capability potential and
increased technical expertise to the client, we felt the start of 2006 was a
good time to formalize and announce this partnership which will utilize Dr. Watt in a more
active capacity. We look forward to providing improved fire debris analyses
to the insurance industry, its representatives and others in the coming years.
